University of Concepción students train in precision agriculture using drones

Agronomy students at the University of Concepción (UdeC) participated in a workshop focused on precision agriculture and the practical application of drone technology. Conducted in collaboration with the company Dronespray, the training aimed to update students on advanced technical tools that evolve faster than traditional academic curricula.

The workshop utilized the university's experimental station to demonstrate the capabilities of intelligent drones, including multispectral models capable of crop analysis, seeding, and spraying. Dr. Gonzalo Silva, coordinator of the activity, noted that such training is essential for modern agronomy professionals to remain competitive in the field.
