University of Córdoba to Host Albert Einstein World Science Prize

The National University of Córdoba (UNC) in Argentina will host the 41st Albert Einstein World Science Prize on 2‑3 November 2026, marking the first time a South American university has been chosen for the ceremony. The award, presented by the World Cultural Council, will be given to paleoanthropologist Katerina Harvati for her groundbreaking research on Neanderthals and the early migration of Homo sapiens.

The main ceremony will take place at the Teatro del Libertador Gral. San Martín on 2 November, followed by conferences and lectures at the UNC Cultural Center on 3 November. Hosting the event is expected to raise the international profile of Argentine science and foster collaborations between local researchers and the global scientific community.
