University of Dayton athletics report mixed results in football and volleyball

In football, the Flyers secured a 37-32 victory over the University of San Diego during Alumni Day at Welcome Stadium. The game featured a significant momentum shift after San Diego took an early 10-0 lead; Dayton responded with a 97-yard kickoff return touchdown by LeRoy Lewis IV and eventually pulled ahead.

The University of Dayton volleyball team experienced a split in their recent matchups. On Friday, the Flyers secured a five-set comeback victory against Loyola Chicago with scores of 25-19, 14-25, 20-25, 25-15, and 15-13. However, in a subsequent match on Saturday, the team fell to Loyola Chicago in another five-set contest, losing 25-20, 21-25, 25-23, 17-25, and 10-15.
