University of Delaware athletics announces honors and 2027 schedules

The University of Delaware athletics programs have announced several updates regarding individual honors and upcoming schedules. Sophomore Rhianna Gooneratne was named the Conference USA Women’s Golfer of the Week following her performance at the Mary Fossum Invitational, where she secured her first-career medalist honors and led the Blue Hens to a team title.

In other athletic news, the 2027 Conference USA schedules for both the baseball and softball programs have been released. The Delaware baseball team, led by head coach Greg Mamula, will play 27 conference games, including a series opener at Kennesaw State. The softball program will also compete in nine conference series, beginning play against Middle Tennessee on March 12.

Additionally, Delaware women’s lacrosse associate head coach Kara Nakrasius recently served on the coaching staff for the Philippines at the 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship in Tokyo.
