University of Energy and Natural Resources enters global rankings

The University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) has achieved its first entry into the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for 2027. Positioned in the 1,801 to 2,000 band, UENR is the fifth Ghanaian institution to be included in the rankings, following the University of Cape Coast, the University of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and the University for Development Studies.

In a related effort to enhance its research capabilities, UENR partnered with Lancaster University to host an academic writing and research communication workshop. Held in September 2026, the program aimed to improve the skills of postgraduate students and researchers in preparing scholarly publications and navigating research ethics. This collaboration supports the upcoming establishment of the Centre for Global Eco-Innovation (CGEI) at UENR, which focuses on environmental and sustainability challenges.
