University of Ghana extends admissions and expands distance learning

The University of Ghana has extended the admission deadline for selected programmes within the School of Information and Communication Studies. Prospective students now have until September 18 to apply for various offerings in the Departments of Communication Studies and Information Studies.

Available postgraduate options include Master’s, MPhil, and PhD programmes in Information Studies, as well as MA, MPhil, and PhD programmes in Communication Studies. Some tracks, such as the MA in Strategic Communication, are offered in flexible formats with evening and weekend classes to accommodate different student needs.

Additionally, the university is expanding its reach through the School of Continuing and Distance Education. This initiative utilizes 11 centres to provide distance learning, fully online programmes, and specialised academic offerings such as Educational Technology, Adult Education, and Youth Development and Leadership to increase access to higher education.
