University of Girona adds 50 official master's programmes, emphasizing AI and data science

The University of Girona (UdG) announced a new portfolio of roughly 50 official master’s programmes for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The offerings span eight major knowledge areas, including artificial intelligence, data analysis, biomedicine, sustainability, political communication, talent management, law, education and tourism.

Several programmes feature double degrees—such as Industrial Engineering combined with Data Science or Mechanical Materials and Structures—and some are part of prestigious Erasmus Mundus networks. Seven masters are taught entirely in English and four in Spanish, reflecting UdG’s push toward internationalisation and attracting a growing number of overseas students.

Industry links are integral to the curriculum: most masters include internships, applied projects and involvement of active professionals. The Master in Human Resources, Talent Management and Labour Advice even offers a dual‑training model that lets students work remunerated jobs while studying. Former students cite the practical experience and research opportunities as key benefits.

Overall, UdG aims to align its postgraduate education with evolving labour‑market demands, positioning graduates for the sectors driving future economic growth.
