University of Guanajuato celebrates 25 years of Nursing Master's program

The University of Guanajuato (UG) celebrated the 25th anniversary of its Master of Science in Nursing at the Celaya-Salvatierra Campus. The commemoration included the opening of the V International Colloquium of the Master of Science in Nursing, held under the theme “Care that transforms, science that supports.”

Academic leaders, researchers, and students gathered to reflect on the program's history, which began in 1999 to strengthen higher education faculty. Officials highlighted the program's social impact and the essential role of nursing professionals in healthcare, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Additionally, students from the Master's in Community Health Nursing (MESAC) participated in the Re:Border 2026 international event in San Diego, California. Students presented scientific posters regarding research projects focused on community health challenges and vulnerable populations, aiming to promote health equity and interdisciplinary knowledge.
