University of Guanajuato professors named IEEE Senior Members

Three professors from the University of Guanajuato (UG) Engineering Division at the Irapuato-Salamanca Campus have been elevated to Senior Member status within the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

The recipients include Dr. Rocío Alfonsina Lizárraga Morales, Dr. Mario Alberto Ibarra Manzano, and Dr. Dora Luz Almanza Ojeda. This distinction is awarded to professionals who demonstrate significant professional achievements, leadership in their discipline, and at least ten years of experience in engineering, science, or technology. Less than 10 percent of IEEE members hold this prestigious international rank.

Dr. Lizárraga Morales, a researcher in the National System of Researchers (SNII), specializes in computer vision, pattern recognition, and intelligent systems. Her work includes applied research in fault diagnosis and image processing.
