University of Guanajuato student selected for Germany 2026 program

Jesús Arath Cabrera Elías, a Communications and Electronics Engineering student at the University of Guanajuato's Irapuato-Salamanca Campus, has been selected for the ‘Rumbo a Alemania 2026’ program. The initiative is organized by the Institute for the Development and Attention of Youth of the State of Guanajuato (Juventudes GTO).

As part of the selection process, Cabrera Elías presented an entrepreneurship project intended to be strengthened by the knowledge and tools acquired during the program. The experience, scheduled from September 30 to October 9, 2026, includes training, collaborative work, cultural exchange, and visits to historical sites in Germany, such as Erfurt and Weimar.

Cabrera Elías received mentorship from the OASIS UG SPIE Student Chapter during his preparation. The program aims to provide participants with new perspectives and competencies that can be applied to their professional trajectories and local communities.
