University of Health Sciences opens academic year in Van

The University of Health Sciences (SBÜ) held a ceremony at the Van Training and Research Hospital to mark the opening of the 2026-2027 academic year and to present certificates for academic promotions.

During the event, SBÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Kemalettin Aydın highlighted the hospital's rapid academic development. He noted that while the facility lacked an academic structure three years ago, it now hosts nearly 70 research assistants, 20 faculty members, and approximately 400 doctors. Aydın expressed gratitude to Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu for efforts to distribute health services more equitably across Anatolia and to support academic staffing in training and research hospitals.
