University of Houston and Oakland face challenging schedules against Michigan

The University of Houston men's basketball team is scheduled to play an exhibition game against the defending national champion Michigan Wolverines on October 25. The event, part of The Battleground 2k26, will take place at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Separately, Oakland University's men's basketball program faces a challenging non-conference schedule for the 2026-27 season. The Golden Grizzlies are set to play several high-major opponents, including Michigan on November 2, as well as Stanford, Alabama, Arizona State, Purdue, Houston, Arkansas, and Michigan State.
