University of Houston soccer defeats Oklahoma State

The University of Houston women’s soccer team defeated Oklahoma State 1-0 at the Carl Lewis International Complex to maintain an undefeated start in Big 12 Conference play. The victory marks the first time the Cougars have started Big 12 play with a 3-0 record and the first time they have won three consecutive conference games since 2021.

Skylar Miller scored the decisive goal in the 41st minute via a header, assisted by Morgan Donohue and Peyton Machado. The win also represents Houston’s first victory over Oklahoma State and their first shutout against the Cowgirls in series history. Houston’s defense held Oklahoma State to seven shots with zero on target.

Despite the loss, Oklahoma State showed defensive improvements compared to earlier non-conference play, though the defeat marks their second consecutive Big 12 loss. The Cowgirls currently hold a 1-2 record in conference play.
