University of La Serena launches free July cultural program in Chile

The University of La Serena announced a month‑long cultural agenda for July offering free concerts, literary presentations and open workshops to the university community and the public. Highlights include the university orchestra's opening concert on July 4, the ULS Big Band Jazz performance on July 11, and two free chorus‑orchestra concerts on July 14‑15 in Coquimbo and the campus concert hall. Additional events feature a series of oral narration workshops, a cultural project‑funding assistance workshop in partnership with the municipal government, and a closing oral storytelling workshop.

University director Rodrigo Davanzo emphasized that the program aims to increase community access to the arts, strengthen university‑community links and contribute to regional cultural development.
