University of León launches professional guidance and high-capacity student initiatives

The University of León (ULE) has introduced a new individualized professional guidance service as part of the TalentoCYL program. Funded by the Junta de Castilla y León with 201,250 euros, the initiative aims to bridge the gap between university training and the regional productive sector. The program includes 195 planned actions through 2027, such as job search workshops, company visits, and professional networking, involving approximately 60 companies.

Separately, the university is addressing the needs of students with high capacities. Data from 2023 indicates there are 197 students with high capacities in primary and secondary education in the province of León. To address the identification and support of these students, ULE is hosting the IX High Capacities Conference, highlighting the need for better recognition and specialized educational support to prevent academic abandonment.
