University of León launches specialized nursing and cultural courses

The University of León is expanding its educational offerings through two distinct programs. The Ponferrada Campus has introduced a University Micro-credential in Advanced Facial Dermoesthetics for Nursing. This program, co-directed by professors Enedina Quiroga Sánchez and Marta Arias Crespo, focuses on scientific foundations, skin analysis, and the application of advanced technical procedures and specialized equipment. The training includes practical sessions in collaboration with the Clínica Valderrama and is supported by the Ponferrada City Council to meet labor market demands.

Additionally, the Faceira Cultural Association, in collaboration with the University of León, is organizing the eighth Initiation Course in Leonese Language and Traditional Culture. Held at the San Isidoro Central Library, the 50-hour course covers linguistic studies using specialized grammatical guides, alongside history, literature, mythology, and traditional architecture. The program runs from December 2025 through June 2026 and is designed to promote regional linguistic and cultural heritage.
