University of Lomé prepares for 2026-2027 academic year

The University of Lomé is preparing for the 2026-2027 academic year with significant campus infrastructure improvements and the launch of online enrollment. The university's new leadership, including President Kossivi Hounake and Vice-Presidents Kperkouma Wala and Povi Lawson-Evi, recently conducted inspections to ensure facilities are ready for students.

Renovation projects include the rehabilitation of major lecture halls such as AMPAH Johnson, as well as the 600 and 20-year blocks. On the North Campus, works involve repairing paved roads, installing new curbs, and enhancing green spaces. Additionally, eight new agoras are being prepared to support student life.

As online registration begins on September 14, 2026, the Direction des Affaires Académiques et de la Scolarité (DAAS) has issued a fraud alert. The university warns students and families against scammers on platforms like WhatsApp who claim they can accelerate the enrollment process for a fee. The university emphasizes that online registration is free and must be completed only through the official institutional platform.
