University of Los Andes candidates seek alumni support

The “Impulsores de la Transformación Universitaria” platform is strengthening ties with alumni and professional sectors to support the rectoral candidacy at the University of Los Andes (ULA) in Venezuela.

Professors Virgilio Castillo, Ángel Andara, Víctor Molina, and Gustavo Alcántara recently met with graduates and representatives from the College of Economists. Luis Ramírez, president of the College of Economists, expressed support for the leadership team led by Castillo, emphasizing the need to restore the institution's prestige. Economist Giovanni Wilchez also noted that the platform's proposal aligns with a vision for institutional renewal through collective participation.
