University of Magallanes opens enrollment for technical careers

The University of Magallanes (Umag) has launched the enrollment process for its technical careers, offering approximately 350 vacancies across its campuses in Punta Arenas and Puerto Natales.

University Rector José Maripani noted that the institution is strengthening its technical training options, which include 13 programs in Punta Arenas and four in Puerto Natales. Key features of the enrollment process include the fact that students do not need to take the PAES exam to enter these programs, and enrollment fees are waived until March 31, 2027. The academic offerings cover sectors such as Education, Health, Technology, Industry, Construction, Administration, Tourism, and Natural Sciences. Academic Vice-Rector Melisa Flores Aguila highlighted that technical students benefit from the same university infrastructure and resources as professional degree students, including specialized laboratories and clinical simulation centers.
