University of Maine football hosts Bryant for Breast Cancer Awareness Game

The University of Maine football team is scheduled to host Bryant University on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Alfond Stadium in Orono. The matchup serves as the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game and the student “Stein Game.”

Maine enters the contest with a 1-5 overall record and 1-2 in the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), seeking to end a five-game losing streak. Bryant holds a 4-2 overall record and is 2-0 in the CAA. The game also marks the debut of Sean Green as interim offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Black Bears.

Defensively, Maine has been noted for forcing turnovers, ranking in the top half of the FCS with nine takeaways through six games. However, the team's offense currently ranks last in the conference in both points and yards per game.
