University of Maine hockey teams face upcoming and recent matchups

The University of Maine women's hockey team is scheduled to travel to Troy, New York, to face the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Engineers on October 16 and 17. The Black Bears enter the non-conference series looking to improve their season record to 2-5-0. Historically, Maine holds a 6-4-2 all-time record against RPI.

On the men's side, the University of Maine men's hockey team recently completed a series against Quinnipiac University. The Black Bears, currently 2-2, secured a 5-3 victory in their second game after a 2-1 loss in the first. Despite the split, the performance against the nationally ranked Quinnipiac program was noted for its competitiveness, particularly in shot volume and puck possession.
