University of Mary and Black Hills State compete at Yellowjackets/Battlin’ Bears Open

At the Yellowjackets/Battlin’ Bears Open held at Amend Park in Billings, Montana, the University of Mary women's cross country team secured a victory. Tori Stepka earned her first career win with a time of 21:40.4, leading a strong performance where seven runners from the team finished in the top 10. Other top finishers for the Marauders included Amanda Overgaauw in second place and Holly Fromherz in third.

In the men's competition, Black Hills State University saw three athletes finish in the top half of the 97-runner field. Freshman Quinn Bruch led the Green & Gold with a 13th-place finish and a time of 26:02. Ian Weich also placed in the top 30 with a time of 26:59, while senior Alberto Spotted finished 41st with a time of 27:49.
