Universities announce 2026 homecoming royalty and candidates
Several universities have announced their homecoming royalty and candidates for the 2026 season.
The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) named twelve women to its 2026 Homecoming Court. The queen will be selected by a student body vote and announced during a ceremony on October 10, preceding the football game against Oklahoma Baptist University.
At the University of Alabama, five candidates were announced for the 2026 Homecoming Queen title. Each candidate is running on a philanthropic platform to support various campus and community organizations, including the Camellia Center, the American Heart Association, and Girls Who Code. The official campaign period begins October 11, with voting scheduled for October 20.
The University of Mary in North Dakota held coronation ceremonies for its 2026 Homecoming royalty. Regina Turner was named Homecoming Queen, and Timothy Giles, an international student from Ghana, was named Homecoming King. The event coincided with the university’s annual Day of Service.
