University of Maryland offers free tuition raffle for football game

The University of Maryland is offering a student the chance to win free tuition for the spring semester during its upcoming football game against Illinois on October 31. To qualify for the raffle, eligible students must attend the game at SECU Stadium and scan a QR code displayed on the stadium video board. Participants must remain in attendance until the fourth quarter when the winner will be announced.

The giveaway is part of an effort to boost student engagement and attendance following a difficult season for the Terrapins. The team currently holds a 2-5 overall record and is winless in conference play, having lost 12 consecutive Big Ten games. The program is also in a period of transition following the recent firing of head coach Mike Locksley; defensive assistant Aazaar Abdul-Rahim is serving as the interim head coach.
