University of Maryland RHA outlines 2026-27 student advocacy goals
The University of Maryland Residence Hall Association (RHA) has outlined its strategic goals for the 2026-27 academic year, focusing on strengthening ties between the student body and university administration. RHA leadership aims to increase both internal and external collaboration to better serve more than 10,000 on-campus students.
A key priority for the upcoming year is expanding community engagement and advocacy. This includes a planned collaboration with TerpsVote, a student-faculty coalition, to enhance civic engagement and voting accessibility on campus during midterm and presidential elections. Previous advocacy efforts by RHA leadership included proposals for free laundry detergent and campus clean-up initiatives.
