University of Messina hosts 10th international UPoN conference

The University of Messina is hosting the tenth edition of the international scientific conference ‘Unsolved Problems on Noise’ (UPoN) from September 8 to 11. Organized by the Electronics group of the Department of Engineering, the event brings together researchers from various continents to discuss fluctuations and noise in fields such as electronics, biological systems, and quantum technologies.

The conference approaches ‘noise’ not merely as a disturbance to be eliminated, but as a potential source of information that can reveal hidden phenomena and improve measurement techniques. A special session will be dedicated to quantum sensing. The event is led by General Chair Professor Graziella Scandurra and Co-Chair Professor Carmine Ciofi, with a program that includes scientific discussions alongside public cultural events like music and theater.
