University of Milano-Bicocca approves European Code of Conduct against gender violence

At the University of Milano-Bicocca, a pan-European conference has approved a European Code of Conduct aimed at preventing and combating gender-based violence and domestic violence within academic institutions. Developed by the Academic Network UNIRE in collaboration with the Open Council of Europe Academic Networks (OCEAN), the document supports the implementation of the Istanbul Convention.

The initiative seeks to establish a common framework of commitments and tools to help European universities protect women and foster environments where victims feel safe to report harassment and violence. The conference addressed the need for institutional responsibility and the closing of gaps in current academic protocols.
