University of Mississippi launches $1.3B campus transformation

The University of Mississippi is currently executing a massive $1.3 billion campus transformation involving approximately 170 active construction projects. This large-scale building program aims to modernize facilities and accommodate institutional growth through long-term infrastructure and academic upgrades.

Key initiatives include significant investments in student housing, such as the Kincannon Site Student Housing project. Construction on the north building of this complex has reached its fifth floor, with the residence halls expected to be ready for students by August 2027. Other major developments include the West Row Student Housing project and various utility and parking structure upgrades.
