University of Montenegro students receive European Youth Cards

As the new academic year begins, students at the University of Montenegro are receiving free digital European Youth Cards (EYC). These co-branded cards provide first-year students with access to over 250 discounts in Montenegro and more than 30,000 discounts across Europe. The digital cards are distributed via the myEYC mobile application, connecting students to a network of over 9 million young people across more than 40 European countries for opportunities in education, volunteering, and employment.

Separately, health experts are addressing the phenomenon known as ‘freshers’ flu,’ a term used to describe the rise in respiratory infections among students at the start of the term. While often mislabeled as influenza, experts note these symptoms are frequently caused by rhinoviruses or SARS-CoV-2. The rapid spread is attributed to students moving into shared living spaces, such as dormitories, and facing lifestyle changes including stress, sleep deprivation, and altered immune responses.
