University of Nebraska–Lincoln Faculty Receive Multiple Awards and Honors
Faculty members of the University of Nebraska–Lincoln were recognized with a series of prestigious awards. Andrea Cupp, Irvin T. and Wanda R. Omtvedt Professor of Animal Science, received the Award of Excellence in Multistate Research from agInnovation for her work on reproductive performance in domestic ruminants. Amy T. Desaulniers, associate professor of reproductive physiology, earned the 2026 Labfront Mid‑Career Educator Award from the American Physiological Society for excellence in physiology teaching. Stephen Kachman, professor emeritus of statistics, was honored with the Beef Improvement Federation Pioneer Award for his contributions to statistical genomics in national beef cattle evaluation. Joe Louis, Eberhard Professor of Agricultural Entomology, received the C. V. Riley Award from the North Central Branch of the Entomological Society of America for outstanding entomology research. Clemencia Rojas, associate professor of plant pathology, was given the 2025‑26 Outstanding Postdoc Mentor Award for her sustained mentoring of postdoctoral scholars. Additionally, Elizabeth Theiss‑Morse and David Wishart were presented the Louise Pound‑George Howard Distinguished Career Award by the university's Faculty Senate.
