University of Nebraska–Lincoln to hold August commencement ceremony

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln will hold a combined graduate and undergraduate commencement ceremony on August 15 at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The university plans to confer 604 degrees, including doctoral, Juris Doctor, master’s, and baccalaureate degrees.

The graduating class includes 595 individuals representing 42 countries, 40 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, and more than 50 Nebraska communities. Interim Chancellor Katherine S. Ankerson will preside over the event.

Retired professor and founding director of the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools, Susan Sheridan, will deliver the keynote address. Additionally, the university will award a posthumous Doctor of Education to Louise Pound, a longtime professor and alumna.
