The University of Newcastle’s I2N Accelerator has selected 12 startups for its 2026 cohort. The 13-week program, based at the I2N Hub Honeysuckle, focuses on three primary streams: Healthtech, Cleantech, and All-Industries. Participating companies are working on diverse solutions, including sustainable office supplies, food waste reduction, telehealth for elderly oral health, and generative AI for children’s books.
Since its inception in 2016, the I2N Accelerator has supported 282 startups and small businesses. These ventures have collectively raised approximately $86.7 million USD and generated 304 new jobs. The program provides participants with weekly mentor sessions, industry connections, and workshops covering product strategy, financial management, and investment readiness. The cohort includes several innovations developed by university staff, students, and alumni.
