University of North Texas to host UNT Invitational volleyball tournament

The University of North Texas is hosting the UNT Invitational this weekend at the UNT Volleyball Center in Denton, Texas. The three-day tournament features matchups between North Texas, Tarleton State, West Virginia, and East Texas A&M.

North Texas enters the tournament with a 5-3 record and a two-match winning streak. Their schedule includes a Thursday opener against Tarleton State, a Friday match against West Virginia, and a Saturday game against East Texas A&M. Friday and Saturday contests will be available for streaming on ESPN+.

Tarleton State will use the invitational to conclude its non-conference schedule. The Texans are scheduled to play North Texas on Thursday, East Texas A&M on Friday, and West Virginia on Saturday. Following a recent match against Texas Tech, Tarleton State players LaNeah Lara and Leddy Rae Guinn were previously named to the Tarleton State Invitational All-Tournament Team.
