University of O’Higgins hosts science and art encounter on copper

The University of O’Higgins (UOH) organized the “Copper as a Link Between Territories” science and art encounter at the Liceo Diego Portales in Rancagua. The event aimed to create a transdisciplinary space where scientific research, anthropology, design, and art intersect to study copper and its relationship to the territory.

Featured participants included artisan Juan Carlos Orellana, who presented works inspired by nature and the microscopic world, and researcher Emmanuel Ducourneau from the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). The initiative sought to broaden environmental understanding and make knowledge more accessible to diverse audiences through the dialogue between academic study and artistic creation.
