University of Oklahoma announces sixth consecutive record enrollment

The University of Oklahoma has announced its sixth consecutive record-breaking first-year class. The incoming class of 2030 consists of 6,437 students, representing a 2.9% increase from the previous year and a 45% growth in enrollment over the last six years.

Among the new students, 28% are first-generation students, setting a university record, while 37% of in-state students are also first-generation. Academic metrics for the class include an average unweighted GPA of 3.63, with 702 students maintaining a 4.0 high school GPA.

To manage the increasing student population, the university has expanded its housing capacity, recently opening South Hall and utilizing Traditions Square and other residence halls to accommodate the growing numbers.
