University of Palermo launches ‘Università Diffusa’ 2026 program

The University of Palermo (UniPa) has launched the registration campaign for its fifth edition of the ‘Università Diffusa’ project. This strategic public engagement initiative aims to bring university expertise into local communities through educational programs developed in collaboration with schools, associations, and local entities.

The 2026 edition features an expanded offering of 33 training paths, an increase from the previous year. These programs are distributed across the Metropolitan City of Palermo (29 paths), the Trapani University Hub (3 paths), and the Caltanissetta University Hub (1 path). The courses cover diverse social and cultural topics, including environmental sustainability, health and prevention, social inclusion, active citizenship, and intercultural dialogue.

Designed as part of the university’s Strategic Plan (2024-2027), the project utilizes a co-design model to address the specific educational needs of the territory. The 25-hour courses, which include both in-person activities and individual study, are scheduled to run from October through December.
