University of Panama graduates 69 new medical professionals

The University of Panama's Faculty of Medicine celebrated the graduation of 69 new medical professionals, including 67 doctors and 2 doctors of Clinical Biomedicine. The ceremony marks the conclusion of six years of study for the MED-20 class.

During the event, Dean Oris Lam de Calvo highlighted the faculty's 75-year history and its academic excellence. Since 2014, approximately 95% of graduates have passed the national medical certification exam on their first attempt. Additionally, 25% of this specific graduating class achieved scores that meet international standards.

Manuel Zambrano Chang, Vice Minister of Health, attended the ceremony representing Minister Fernando Boyd Galindo. He commended the graduates for their discipline and recognized them as the future of medicine in Panama.
