The POLIS portal requires a single online form that confirms the previous year’s assignment and allows teachers to list up to 150 preferences for full‑time posts, hourly posts (posti orario) and fragmentary slots.

The new “posti orario” system can assign teachers to schools that were not among their listed preferences, as provincial offices aggregate remaining fragments after provisional assignments. This creates a risk that some assigned schools fall outside the teacher’s original choices, with a maximum of three schools across two municipalities per hourly post.

Teachers who miss the deadline lose the chance to be confirmed on their current post and will be excluded from the automated allocation of annual substitute positions.
