University of Patras hosts digital technology career day

The University of Patras held a Career and Professional Networking Day focused on Digital Technologies and Informatics on October 14, 2026. Organized by the University’s Liaison and Entrepreneurship Office, the event took place at the University’s Conference and Cultural Center.

The event featured 28 companies and organizations that engaged with more than 260 undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni. Beyond personal interviews, the day provided a platform for networking and professional acquaintance. While primarily serving departments such as Electrical Engineering and Computer Technology and Computer/Informatics Engineering, the event also attracted participants from Business Administration, Physics, and Mathematics.

Vice-Rector Giorgos Panagiotopoulos emphasized the importance of connecting the university’s scientific potential with the modern economy. Professor Paraskevas Georgiou, Scientific Officer of the Liaison and Entrepreneurship Office, noted that the goal is to provide young scientists with the experiences necessary to plan their professional futures.
