University of Patras hosts Welcome to UP 2026 sports festival

The University of Patras is hosting the Welcome to UP 2026 festival for first-year students. From October 7 to 9, 2026, the university gymnasium will lead a series of athletic activities at Peace Park within the university campus.

The program includes sports demonstrations in basketball, volleyball, and football, alongside interactive games and fitness training sessions. Local sports teams from Patras are scheduled to participate, including Apollon Patras basketball, Aiolos rugby, Hermes archery, and Promitheas Patras.

Students will have the opportunity to explore university athletic facilities, learn about available physical education programs, and access free services provided by the gymnasium to the student community.
