University of Piraeus: Dimosthenis Kyriazis assumes Rectorate

On September 1, 2026, the University of Piraeus held a formal ceremony for the handover of the rectorate. Professor Dimosthenis Kyriazis officially assumed the position of Rector, succeeding Professor Michalis Sfakianakis.

During the ceremony, outgoing Rector Michalis Sfakianakis reflected on his thirty-year academic career and his tenure at the university.
