University of Pisa hosts MIMIT official for AI communication lecture

Donatella Proto, Director General for Enabling New Technologies at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT), will inaugurate the 2026/2027 academic year for the DISCO and CoMeTe courses at the University of Pisa on October 2.

The lecture, titled ‘Innovating in Complexity: The Challenges of Communication in the Age of Artificial Intelligence’, will examine how new technologies impact communication processes, institutions, and businesses. This event marks the beginning of a collaboration between the University Department and MIMIT, which includes the launch of a laboratory focused on the communication of innovation and sustainability. The program will feature modules on communicating innovation policies and how technologies like artificial intelligence are perceived and understood by stakeholders.
