Portland collegiate athletics report weekend results

Various Portland-area collegiate teams achieved notable results across several sports during recent competitions.

In men's tennis at the Duck Invite, the University of Portland Pilots finished with a 16-7 combined singles record and a 9-1 record in doubles. Portland State University's Vikings also saw individual success, with Maas Schotanus earning a 3-0 singles record and Luca Prino finishing 4-1 overall.

In volleyball, the Portland Pilots secured a five-set victory against Seattle U, marking their best start through 17 matches since 2018. Meanwhile, Portland State's volleyball team achieved a 3-2 comeback win over Northern Colorado, highlighted by Magdalena Ranitovic's five consecutive service aces in the final set.

In rowing, the Portland Pilots earned wins in the women's pair and the combined men's and women's varsity eight at the Charlie Brown Regatta. In men's basketball, Nevada defeated Portland State 77-71 in an exhibition game, led by Elijah Price's 21 points.
