University of Porto ranked top in Portugal for teaching quality

The University of Porto has been recognized as the best Portuguese institution for teaching quality and learning environment according to the 2027 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. The university is ranked globally within the 401–450 bracket.

In the specific category of Teaching, the University of Porto achieved the highest score among Portuguese institutions with 34.2 points. This metric evaluates teaching reputation, student-to-staff ratios, and the ratio of doctoral to undergraduate students.

The institution also reached its best absolute position in the Research Environment category, placing between 273rd and 276th globally. While it saw slight decreases in Research Quality, Industry relations, and International Outlook compared to the previous edition, it maintains a strong performance in scientific research criteria.
