Four Portuguese researchers have been awarded the L’Oréal For Women in Science Honorary Medals, receiving a total of 60,000 euros to support their scientific projects. The initiative is organized by L’Oréal Portugal in partnership with the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).

The recipients, each receiving 15,000 euros, include Ana Esteves (FEUP), Cláudia Martins (i3S), Fátima Santos (FEUP), and Inês Alves (i3S/University of Aveiro). Their research spans critical areas such as cancer, autoimmune diseases, sustainable energy, and biotechnology.
