University of Salamanca launches new Veterinary degree
The University of Salamanca is launching its new Veterinary degree this Monday, September 7. The program has seen significant interest, receiving 1,800 applications for its 90 available spots.
This academic expansion is a collaborative effort between the University and the Diputación de Salamanca. To support the new curriculum, renovation work is currently underway on a 46,500 square meter site at the Escuela de Capacitación Agraria in the San José neighborhood. This project includes the construction of a specialized dissection room, which is expected to be completed by the end of October.
In addition to the Veterinary program, the university reported enrollment figures for other related fields, including 66 new students in Environmental Sciences and 59 in Agro-food Engineering.
