University of Santo Tomas wins championship as Letran secures bronze in Shakey's SSL Collegiate Invitational

University of Santo Tomas captured the 2026 Shakey’s Super League Collegiate National Invitationals crown, defeating College of Saint Benilde 22-25, 25-8, 25-12, 25-22 in the final at the FilOil Centre in San Juan. The Golden Tigresses completed a perfect 7‑0 tournament run, with MVP Angge Poyos scoring 20 points and senior Regina Jurado adding 21.

In the bronze‑medal match, Colegio de San Juan de Letran overcame the Australian guest team Southern Storm Melbourne 25-21, 18-25, 25-17, 25-23 at the Playtime FilOil Arena, securing a second consecutive third‑place finish. Judiel Nitura led Letran with 19 points, while Southern Storm’s Anastasias and Steph Baker each contributed 13 points for the visitors.
