University of Siena announces Board of Directors selections

The University of Siena has announced two public selection processes to appoint two new members to its Board of Directors. These positions are intended for individuals who do not belong to the university's internal roles, in accordance with Article 32 of the University Statute.

The first position aims to identify an external member to represent the local territory. The Rector will make the designation following consultations with the Mayor of Siena and the President of the Province, based on a shortlist of candidates selected by a commission appointed by the Academic Senate.

The second position is for an individual with proven management expertise and high-level professional experience, while also maintaining scientific and cultural qualifications. This member will also be designated by the Rector from a shortlist provided by the Academic Senate commission.

Both appointments are for a four-year term, renewable once, and will commence on December 7, 2026. Applications must be submitted by October 8, 2026, at 12:00 PM.
