The University of Silicon Valley announced a scholarship program that rewards gamers who achieve high‑level milestones in a range of video games. The program offers two tiers—Mastery (up to $2,500 per semester) and Legendary (up to $5,000 per semester), allowing a student to earn as much as $15,000 in a year. Eligible titles include Minecraft, Dark Souls Trilogy, Elden Ring, Terraria, No Man’s Sky, Dead Cells, Hades, World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XIV, Genshin Impact, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Hollow Knight, Bloodborne, Civilization VI, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Ark: Survival Evolved, Subnautica and others. Applicants must provide verifiable proof of achievements through official profiles, APIs, screenshots or video evidence, and must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0. Achievements earned on modded, private, or emulated servers are excluded. The scholarship aims to recognize rare gaming accomplishments—global completion rates below 1% for Legendary and 1–5% for Mastery—alongside academic performance.
