University of São Paulo hosts Lezeira dance lecture and career fair

The University of São Paulo (USP) is hosting a series of academic and community events. Researchers Eduardo Pontin and Francisca Sousa will present a lecture regarding Lezeira, an Afro-indigenous circle dance from the Sertão of Piauí. The presentation will cover their field research conducted between 2020 and 2022, which resulted in the book ‘Vamô Vadiá Nesta Lezeira’ and collaborative safeguarding efforts with IPHAN and local government.

Additionally, the USP Career Fair (Feira USP e as Profissões) recently concluded at the Cidade Universitária campus. The event attracted 62,619 visitors, including high school and preparatory students from across Brazil. The fair utilized extensive social media engagement across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube to connect students with university undergraduates and various academic units.
